A Powerful Chrome Extension for Enhancing Privacy: Decentraleyes

As an avid internet user, I have always been concerned about online privacy and the increasing reliance on large third-party networks for content delivery. That's why I decided to try out the popular Chrome extension called Decentraleyes, which boasts an impressive total rating of 4.78 based on user reviews.

Enhanced Privacy and Protection

Decentraleyes does an excellent job of preventing numerous requests from reaching networks like Google Hosted Libraries and other large delivery networks. By serving local files instead, this extension ensures that websites don't break while providing enhanced privacy and protection.

Complements Content Blockers

One of the great things about Decentraleyes is that it complements regular content blockers such as uBlock Origin and Adblock Plus. While these blockers are effective in canceling requests for ads and trackers, they often break pages when it comes to blocking actual content. Decentraleyes solves this issue by delivering local files at lightning speed, eliminating the need for external sources.

Easy to Use

Getting started with Decentraleyes is a breeze. You don't need any prior configuration or technical expertise to use this extension. It works directly out of the box, providing immediate protection and privacy without any hassle.

While Decentraleyes is not a silver bullet for all privacy concerns, it is a powerful tool that prevents many websites from making unnecessary requests and ensures that your browsing experience remains secure. Additionally, you have the option to make Decentraleyes block requests for any missing CDN resources, further enhancing your privacy.

User Reviews

Let's take a look at what some users have to say about Decentraleyes:

  • "Bardzo dobrze się sprawdza, jest już ze mną tyle lat." - ima aka
  • "Awesome. Been a user since Decentraleyes 1.0 on Mozilla and so happy to see you are both back, and improved in myriad ways! Thank you so much for your hard work. If you are reading this, thank a teacher, if you value your Privacy and a Healthy (and Private) System, thank the Dev! (Maybe Support them? No one asked me to type this. All insights and suggestions are mine)." - Simon David Williamson
  • "People like you are few and far between. This is a great extension!!" - Al Amin
  • "Great extension. Very useful, would definitely recommend." - Ranvir Narayandas
  • "Works great, no complaints here." - Stefano L

With its impressive functionality, high user ratings, and positive feedback, Decentraleyes is undoubtedly a must-have Chrome extension for anyone seeking to enhance their online privacy and protect their personal data from unnecessary exposure to third-party networks.

Very Good. Thanks.

It works great! If you go to the website, you can test the extension to be sure it's working properly. Pin the extension. When you click on it, it'll display a counter that shows a counter for locally injected resources. For the reviewer who said they don't know if it works, I would recommend testing it on their website and/or checking the counter, and if it isn't pinned, pin it.

I have it but I don't know if it works. How would anybody know that it does?

If you are even slightly privacy or security conscious, you want this app. It prevents many calls to third party services, which send trackers and other spyware along with the base service being called, turning you unwittingly or knowing into the product being surveilled and spied upon 24/7. It's an integral part of any basic security suite along with a good ad blocker, VPN, and tracking blocker. I also recommend moving over to search engines like startpage.com which offer great search results while keeping google from tracking you.

If the option "Block request for missing resources" is activated, it totally destroy my entire website which use jsDelivr as main CDN for delivering resources. I know i can whitelist the domain or simply no activate that option, I'm just wondering why jsDelivr is blocked. ? _ cdn.jsdelivr.net is blocked This page has been blocked by an extension Try disabling your extensions.
